Austin is now 11 months old and walking! He has been taking a few steps for a few weeks now, but he officially starting walking during Thanksgiving weekend. Austin also sings too (which sounds more like a hum) - it is adorable! I'll post a few videos when I get them uploaded.
He is so proud of his walking skills!

Here's Jack in his Diego "big boy undies"! He has been going on the potty for a while now, and is officially potty trained! He's very excited about wearing his character undies...
On Friday, August 26th Austin got his first tooth! He had been working on it for a while and it has finally made it's appearance (on his right)! The one on his left is just about in too!

Austin is 8 months old today! He has grown up so fast! It seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home on Christmas Eve!
At 8 months, Austin is getting into everything! He loves to crawl and explore new things and follow Jack around. He loves being outside and going on walks. He eats just about anything we give him (thank God!) and he is extremely pleasant to be around!

Most people tell us that Jack and Austin do not look that much alike and Kevin and I agree. So we have found a few pictures where they each look like someone in the family, but not each other!
Lanie, Jack, and Jay...we think Jack could be their brother...
We think Austin looks like...
...his cousin Trent, when he was a baby. What do you think?

This past weekend Hilliard had their annual Spirit of Safety Day at the police & fire station. We took Jack last year and he loved it. We figured with him being a year older he might like it even more now.
We ended up staying 4 and a half hours while Jack climbed in and out of police cars, fire trucks, bomb squad trucks, played with fire hoses, and police dogs. It was a great day for him. The only way to get him home was to remind him of that he needed to eat lunch (at 2:30)
This was Jack's favorite car.
He climbed in and out and pushed all the buttons he could find.
After 20 mins in the front seat the officer said we should sign him up to be a cop.
Hopefully this is the only time we see this...
This was one of the many trucks that was there for the kids to check out.

There were two police dogs there. This is the Pataskla dog chasing down a "bad guy"
They also showed how the dog find drugs.
Here is a video of the MedFlight helicopter taking off and coming back around low and fast over the crowd. Jack didn't know what to think of it landing. He was a little afraid, but after he got to sit in it and touch it he liked it and was excited to see it take off. Now everything in the sky is a "Hi Copter"
Landing in front of the crowd.
This is Jack covering his ears because it was too loud he said.

They did a live fire demonstration showing the difference between two identical rooms. One had a sprinkler, one did not. This picture was taken 90 seconds after they lit a trash can on fire.
Jack trying out a fire hose.
He quickly figured out how to turn it on and off.
