Animoto Test

For all the Jack blog readers - bear with me for a little bit. I am working on a project with a photographer I work with here in Columbus. We are experimenting with some new video stuff. This is from a wedding we shot this spring. Check out the videos and the site www.reflectionsphoto.net Be sure to let us know if you need a photographer.

Jack's 1st real haricut

If you remember from Jack's baby pictures, he came out with a full head of hair. Since then he has probably received 4 or 5 major haircuts. This doesnt count the trimming around his ear or anything like that. When he was smaller I would distract him while Marisa would cut his hair. Then he got bigger and we started doing it in the bathtub when he would sit still. Well that stopped not to long ago and his hair was getting really long.

Marisa heard about this place from one of her friends. I went with her to check it out. Its a little more expensive then everywhere else, but its all about the distractions. They have a playground indoors for while you wait. (They recommend reservations because they are so busy, we learned that the hard way) Once in, they strap him into a little car and give him a choice of DVDs. He only cares about one and they even had it. So he got to play in a car, with smaller toy cars, while watching his movie. If you look closly he tries to lean to one side when the haircut girl gets in the way of his movie.

He did great and he looks like a big boy with his haircut.

Jack Walks

Its official....Jack can walk. I would say December 4th is the official day. 10 Months 24 Days. He has been able to stand on his own for a week or so. While in Canton for Thanksgiving he took 2 steps, but it was more of a stumble while falling to the ground. Speaking of falling, if you don't want to see him fall....don't watch video 2.

Let me explain, we have to start him off standing on his own against something. if we just go in the middle of the room and let go he will fall or grab on to our hand and not let go. By propping him up he can get his balance right and then take a step when he is ready to.

The sound his head makes is much louder on the video then it was in real life. Don't worry he didn't even notice.

He is a tough little boy.

We are happy to report that Jack was not afraid of Santa like some little kids can be. While on his lap he decided to take a closer look. Thats my hand coming in from the right trying to intercept him before he ruins Christmas for the 50 other kids sitting in the room watching Santa.

He really liked his dump truck he got from Santa.

Greif Kids Christmas Party

This past Thursday was our 1st annual Greif Christmas Kids Party. The party has been going on for years, but this is my 1st year with Greif. Its really nice. They have things for the kids to do and Santa even makes an appearance with gifts for the kids.



He didn't leave these on for very long.

Jack's 1st wrapped gift ever. He didn't quite understand what to do with it. Good thing we started the training early. By Christmas he will be a pro.


Jack on Santa's lap getting his gift. He didn't seem to mind when I set him down. He looked up at Santa and was curious. After about 5 seconds he decided he wanted to check the beard. I quickly grabbed him and we were done. Didn't want to ruin anything for the other kids.

A few weeks ago, Cousin Lisa brought Jack over a new binky. We couldnt stop laughing. We posted a cell phone picture and finally got around to taking a normal picture. Enjoy

Crazy Lips!

I realize this is not the best picture, but its still hilarious! My cousin Lisa bought this binky for Jack. Every time he puts it in we start to laugh, so now he thinks he's funny and starts smiling and laughing back! Its really cute.
